Betazoid Male

Externally, Betazoids are physically indistinguishable from humans in every aspect but one: the irises of their eyes are completely black. Betazoids are natural telepaths.

Most develop their telepathic skill in adolescence, but a few are born with their telepathic abilities already active. The common psionic abilities of Betazoids extends from sensing thoughts and/or emotions, over projecting thoughts and/or emotions, to manipulating the minds of others. How capable they are in performing any of those feats depends somewhat on their genetically defined psionic strength, their psionic training, their familiarity with the scanned being, their general mental and physical condition and the species of the subject race (some species are immune to psionic detection).

Culturally, Betazoids tend to be a rather pacifist race.

Betazoids are members of the United Galactic Alliance.

  • Empathic: Betazoids have +6 to all Sense Motive Checks

Racial FeatsEdit

Enhanced Empathy: The character's empathic ability is increased. The character recieves an additional +6 to Sense Motive checks.

Telepathy: The character is able to speak telepathically. The character can choose individual targets within eyesight and speak to them with their minds. The target can not respond telepathically. There is no defined ranged, but the further away the target is, the more difficult it becomes.

Thought Projection: Character is able to project thoughts into targets. Character choose a target and attempts to push a thought into them, making them believe they came to that conclusion on their own. The full effect of this is up to the character's creativity (and DM's discretion). The target is allowed a Will Save to resist the projected thought (DC 12+Character Level). Requires character level 4.

Mind Manipulation: Character is able to able to psionically manipulate the mind of a target. Character choose a target and can attempt to manipulate them to be friendly to the user. The target gets a Will Save (DC 11+Character Level), or they believe that the character is one of their allies. If the character performs any hostile action towards the target, than the effect instantly wears off. Requires character level 6 and the Thought Projection racial feat.
