The duergar, or gray dwarves are a dark subrace of dwarves. They live mostly underground or in deep space, preferring darkness to any kind of natural light. They have developed some unnatural abilities in the lightless places they tend to dwell.
The duergar are very similar in appearance to surface dwarves, but have distinct pale or deep gray skin, no hair, and bright eyes.
The duergar are associated with the Black Horde.
